Kevin Kaucher, Angela Slampak-Cindric, and Christine Groth join me to help highlight the 2024 SCCM RSI guidelines and share their insight as panel members.
The episode starts off describing how these guidelines came to be, how everyone became involved, and what was considered the ultimate goal and scope of these guidelines.
Then we review the PICO questions, how these were chosen, especially challenging questions, panel responsibilities, and the unexpectedly challenging parts of working with GRADE methodology. Before diving into the pharmacotherapy and discussing the challenges, considerations, and the ultimate recommendations.
The 3 of us then review what they learned, supplementary appendix highlights, practice-based research ideas, RSI tips/tricks, and take-home points.
